Griffith Park Wedding
With over 4,210 acres of both natural chaparral-covered terrain and landscaped parkland and picnic areas, Griffith Park is the largest municipal park with urban wilderness area in the United States. Situated in the eastern Santa Monica Mountain range, the Park’s elevations range climb high so you and your guests can enjoy spectacular views. With an arid climate, the Park’s plant communities vary from coastal sage scrub, oak and walnut woodlands to riparian vegetation with trees in the Park’s deep canyons. The California native plants represented in Griffith Park include the California species of oak, walnut, lilac, mountain mahogany, sages, toyon, and sumac. These all help create a luscious backdrop for your perfect wedding day. Gather your loved ones at your Griffith Park wedding to celebrate the most romantic day of your life.
Jam Out
Some of my favorite editorials come from chaos – when not having a plan is the plan. This mainly happens when I am traveling with my creative team for a workshop, wedding, site visit, what have you, and we decide last minute that we “want to do something.” Nothing is planned in advance with the exception of securing a dress, and sometimes a model. I’m emailing and or calling venues at the airport – sometimes after we land, and trying to secure larger rentals the morning of. The chairs from this editorial came from the Air BNB we were staying it. You get the idea. These shoots are what we refer to as a “jam out”. They are stressful and sweaty and cause me to purchase things at various stores and then cringe the next day when I have to return them. Is it worth it? Yeah.
