Favorite Vintage Ring Boxes
As a lot of you guys who follow me on Instagram know (@birdsofafeatherevents), I have a complete obsession with vintage ring boxes and my collection is a bit out of control – especially considering the fact that I only do 8-10 weddings each year and about 5 editorial shoots. Some may argue that I have more vintage ring boxes than I will ever use or need. To those people I say, “SO!?” Below are some highlights of ring shots from this year’s weddings and editorial shoots. I have a few more coming down the pipe from some workshops I designed/styled the last couple of weeks and I’ll add those as soon as we get the film back. Comment and let me know which one is your favorite!

Brides rings styled in a light green box with dark ivory interior, and grooms ring styled in a really unique brown box.
I’ve been on the hunt for another ring box in this style for years, but have not been able to find one.

Stunning ring by Trumpet and Horn styled in a plum ring box with a dark ivory interior from a shoot we did
in NYC. Charla Storey Photography usually shoots light and airy, but we were losing sunlight and she had to
push her film. I’m not complaining about the result, loving the dark and moody feel.
A simple wedding band from an elopement we did styled in this once gold ring box that has taken on a brass
tone with age. I love the simple composition of this shot by Charla Storey Photography
I think this is my all time favorite ring box. I just love the octagonal shape of it and the fact that is in near
pristine condition. The cute little pink button closure doesn’t hurt either. Shot by Charla Storey Photography
for Magnolia Rouge Magazine.
Cassie’s beyond beautiful engagement ring styled in a burgundy velvet box from her November wedding shot by Apryl Ann Photography
Ok, so this technically is not a ring box, but I couldn’t not share this stunner! This antique pearl ring actually belonged to my great aunt and was
passed down to me. We decided to style it a bit unconventionally for the editorial featured on Magnolia Rouge. Photographed by NBarrett Photography
Bille’s stunner styled in a blue shallow bottomed faux leather box with tan interior shot by Charla Storey Photography
Diana’s engagement ring shot by Apryl Ann Photography on her wedding day. I love this rich jewel toned
purple box as it fit in with our overall color story perfectly!

Another box that is in mint condition! Also, I think I have a thing for blue, lol! Jen’s ring

Another uniquely shaped box, this is one of the first boxes I ever purchased. Shot by Charla Storey Photography

The teeniest tiniest box I own encasing this Megan Thorne ring effortlessly. Shot by Charla Storey Photography
for an editorial for My Wedding Magazine.
Charla’s gorgeous custom pear shaped diamond ring from her spring wedding shot by Apryl Ann Photography
I usually do not like to use my boxes more than once, but for this gal I made an exception.

Yup, I definitely have a thing for blue. Apryl Ann Photography
