Made With Love Sasha Wedding Dress – Charla’s Bridals

The Made With Love Sasha dress was certainly THE ONE. After many texts of photos of Charla in about 50 different gowns, it was becoming increasingly obvious that finding the perfect gown was turning out to be a taller order than any of us thought. Many of you may recognize Charla as she is a wedding photographer and her work is heavily featured in my portfolio. She is someone who went from vendor, to friendor, to friend over the past 3 years and I was beyond over the moon when she asked me to plan and design her own wedding. I tend to be strongly opinionated, and I was not vibing with ANY of the dresses she tried on. Like, zero. We even went to Kleinfeld in NYC at one point when we were there working, and nada. The moment this one came through in my text, I was sold.

From the designer…

We decided to take our ever so popular Frankie and take her up a notch, creating the extraordinary Sasha. She is the luxe version, the champagne style, the perfect partner for a tuxedo and the deluxe option for the bride who is that little bit more sophisticated. She is made out of the most gorgeous crochet lace that delicately covers a tan underlay creating so much contrast and her invisible neckline makes her totally irresistible. She is the diva of the two and demands all eyes on her.

Charla’s Bridals

When you are a wedding photographer and you are getting married yourself, bridals are a must. No choice. Gotta do it. Charla had her dear friend, Krystle Akin, shoot these for her at The Belmont Studio. She wanted something very clean with good light that showcased herself, the dress, and the bouquet with out a lot of props or distracting textures. I think she nailed it.
